HTML Paragraphs and Line Breaks
A paragraph is a normal block of text. HTML uses the
tag for it. Write one idea inside a paragraph. You can have many paragraphs on a page. The browser normally places space between them so the text is easy to read. If you need a line break inside the same piece of text, HTML provides
. Use it for a real line break, such as an address or a poem, not just to create empty space. For spacing and layout, CSS is the better tool.
Why this matters
- ·Paragraphs make text readable.
- ·The
tag gives text a clear meaning.
- ·
can create a meaningful line break when needed.
Common mistakes
- ·Using many
tags for layout makes code messy.
- ·Putting every sentence in a separate paragraph can hurt readability.
- ·Do not use empty paragraphs just to create space.
